March First Brewing was founded with the same spirit of independence and tenacity as our nation. Our name pays homage to the great state of Ohio, founded March 1, 1803.
We specialize in “drinkable" craft beer, cider, and spirits, and proudly brew, distill, and bottle in Cincinnati, Ohio. We admittedly do not follow popular trends or industry norms, and it is in precisely this that makes us delightfully unpredictable.

The legend of the phoenix is one of life and death, creation and destruction, birth and rebirth. As ancient texts tell the story, the phoenix lives for thousands of years before going out in a fiery blaze of glory. It then rises from the ashes, renewed and reborn.
At Woodburn Brewing we look to the phoenix as an inspiration. We find the good in all things and all people. It also symbolizes the rebirth of the Cincinnati brewing legacy over the last 100 years. We raise a glass to Cincinnati brewing heritage one pint at a time.

FIGLEAF BREWING
At FigLeaf, we have an unbridled passion for brewing, and want to share our passion with you. Our independent craft brewery houses custom brewing equipment, utilizing some less common techniques and processes in service of unique flavors. CINCINNATI DISTILLING
In 1794, Christian Waldschmidt, a veteran of the American Revolution and businessman, started a new community at a site on the Little Miami River in Sycamore Township, Ohio. He built a general store, a blacksmith shop, a church, Ohio's first paper mill and one of Cincinnati's first distilleries. After Christian Waldschmidt passed away in 1814 he passed his legacy onto his daughter Catherine and son-in-law Mathias Kugler. They continued their father’s business and distilling legacy for decades.
Today we produce only the finest whiskeys just a short distance from that original settlement. Our distillery is located in the Kugler’s historic home celebrating the Waldschmidt and Kugler’s distilling heritage and rugged pioneering spirit.
