Cincinnati Distilling named Grand National Champion at the US Open Whiskey Championship

CINCINNATI - Cincinnati is now home to the number one whiskey distillery in the country as of today. Cincinnati Distilling accomplished this feat by earning two gold medals, four silver and four bronzes overall.

Gold medal winners included their Single Barrel Ohio Straight Bourbon and their newly released Peach Maple Cask Finished Bourbon. The block of four silver medals included their flagship Ohio Straight Bourbon, which has earned a medal in the last 4 years, their Catherine Waldschmidt Bourbon, Cincinnati Rye Whiskey and Fire Brigade Cinnamon Whiskey. Rounding out the bronze honors were the Stout Cask Finished Bourbon, Code Four Blueberry Donut Whiskey, Voltage Peppermint Schnapps and Stillwrights Spiced Rum.

“We have been working so hard for this day for the last several years,” said Josh Engel, Cincinnati Distilling spokesperson. “Our team is one of the hardest working that I know of in the industry and coming in second the past two years really motivated us to step it up a notch this year. Honors like this make us want to keep going bigger and better for years to come.”

Cincinnati Distilling welcomes you to come celebrate with them over the next few weeks in their newly opened distillery in Milford, Ohio located at 203 Mill Street. They’re open for lunch and dinner and have opened up their rooftop bar for the season. You can also buy any of their available spirits (including all medal winners) in their bottle shop on premises.
