March First Brewing celebrates its third anniversary with a weekend long celebration

CINCINNATI - March First Brewing is turning 3 years old this weekend! The Cincinnati brewery shares its birthday with the state of Ohio. The birthday bash will span from Friday 2/28 to Sunday 3/1. On Friday they will be releasing their Sycamore Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout and a sour beer called The Shambic which was wildly fermented and aged in barrels for two years.

In addition to the two bottle releases March First has recently added a canning line and you will be able to purchase their Irish Red and American Craft Lager in cans. Highpoint IPA and Astra Hard Seltzer will be coming very soon. March First will also be showcasing infusions with their line of spirits all weekend long like their Sycamore Bourbon with charred orange and cherries, their Voltage Vodka with Butterfly Pea Blossom, Lime and Ginger, their Cooper Island Rum with Pineapple, sage and blackberry. Those infusions along with a few more will be available at a special spirit bar.

If whiskey and bourbon is your thing Sycamore Distilling will have a brand ambassador on hand that will be running tastings from 12pm-7pm on Saturday and 12pm-5pm on Sunday. You’ll be guided through tasting one whiskey and three bourbons produced by Sycamore.

It wouldn’t be a party without a few bands. March First is hosting Kyla Mainous Friday from 5pm-7pm. On Saturday Kyler Davis from Misnomer hits the stage from 5pm-7pm and David Lurie finishes off the evening from 8pm-10pm.

The Sunday morning festivities will be kicking off with two sold out sessions of Goat Yoga with YoGoat Cincinnati. The brewery said the tickets sold out so fast that they will consider bringing goat yoga back very soon.

“We are so lucky to be a brewery and distillery here in Cincinnati” March First spokesperson Josh Engel said. “The support over the last year in our taproom and outside of our taproom has been off the charts. There’s no doubt Cincinnati loves to support their local breweries and distilleries. We would like to thank each and every person out there whether you visited our taproom or grabbed a six pack at the store. We are looking forward to doing it bigger and better in 2020 and we hope everyone joins us for the ride.”

March First Brewing and Distilling is located at 7885 E. Kemper Rd in Sycamore Township. They will be open Friday from 11am-Midnight, Saturday from Noon-Midnight and Sunday from Noon-Midnight.
