CINCINNATI - Woodburn Brewing is celebrating its 5th year of operation with a luau themed party on Saturday August 21st from noon to midnight. When the doors open they will be releasing three new beers on draft. The first is an Italian Pilsner called Vespa, the second is a new entry in their “Encantado” tart ale series, it will be a passionfruit, orange and guava variant. Finally, they will be releasing a new variant of their Solo Coffee Blonde Ale with coconut.
In addition to the beer releases the Woodburn crew have been hard at work doing some spirit infusions with Cincinnati Distilling products. You’ll be able to try Mango Habanero Infused Rebellion Agave Spirit, Grapefruit Peppercorn Infused Red Sky Gin and Pineapple Upside-down Voltage Schnapps while supplies last. Giacomo Ciminello is also cooking up some amazing cocktails for guests to imbibe in.
Special activities during the day include hula with Sarah Gorak starting at noon and later on in the evening starting at 7:00pm they will have Polynesian Fire Dancers out in the Woodburn Gardens area behind the brewery.
Food will be provided by the Woodburn Grill which was named one of the hottest places to eat in Cincinnati by Citybeat this summer which is now open 7 days a week. Woodburn Grill is headed up by head chef and culinary director Bhumin Desai and features smoked meats, burgers, dogs and more. For the anniversary celebration he will be doing Pork Belly Al Pastor Tacos as a special all weekend while supplies last.
